We begin with a comprehensive evaluation of the property to inform the design process. This includes site observations, photography, field measurements, plant and hardscape inventory, and overall site analysis. Existing surveys will be reviewed, and when necessary, we will assist in updating the survey to ensure all current site conditions are accurately represented and delineated. We also research applicable municipal codes, zoning regulations, and permitting requirements specific to your property to ensure the proposed design is compliant and constructible.
We develop fully rendered, scaled conceptual plans that outline the core elements of the proposed landscape. These drawings illustrate the overall vision of the design, including primary hardscape and planting areas, while incorporating the client’s programmatic goals. The conceptual plans are intentionally clear and uncluttered, allowing design intent to be
communicated without premature detailing or material selections.
Using a combination of hand sketches and three-dimensional modeling software, we translate the design into immersive, photorealistic representations. These models allow us to explore the landscape in three dimensions, showcasing key views, spatial relationships, and material expression. When applicable, animated walkthroughs and video renderings are used to further
illustrate how the landscape will be experienced in real life.
A black-and-white plan illustrating all landscape elements, with each plant labeled and lawn areas clearly defined. A corresponding plant schedule is provided, including botanical and common names, installed sizes, and quantities.
A black-and-white plan showing all hardscape elements, with selected materials, patterns, sizes, and colors clearly identified. Dimensions are included as required to support accurate construction.
Black-and-white cross-section and elevation details illustrating hardscape assemblies, materials, and design intent necessary for construction.
A comprehensive, standalone outdoor lighting plan identifying fixture locations, fixture types, and overall lighting intent. The plan will include distinct graphic symbols to clearly differentiate specified fixture types, along with notations for illumination purpose (e.g., safety, accent, pathway, architectural, or landscape highlighting). Fixture placement will be coordinated with site elements and planting to ensure optimal performance, visual balance, and long-term functionality.
We curate and present physical material samples for all major hardscape components, creating a material board when applicable. This may include paving, wall materials, decking or carpentry finishes, pool plaster, and tile selections. Supplemental imagery and references are provided as needed to clearly communicate material choices and applications
