About Us
Details Design Group is a collaborative partnership between The Design Group, led by Tracy Linton, L.A., and Details Design and Management, led by Jared Gavzy. With more than 20 years of working together, this collaboration was naturally formed to serve the best interests of our shared clientele.
By combining award-winning landscape architecture with comprehensive construction management, the team is able to both establish a clear design vision and execute it seamlessly. From initial concept development through final installation, every phase of the project is thoughtfully coordinated to ensure consistency, quality, and attention to detail.
Details Design Group manages the full design and construction process, including close coordination with allied professionals such as architects, engineers, and interior designers. The firm also oversees all aspects of construction, coordinating landscape contractors, masons, and builders to ensure each project is executed with precision and that every detail is realized as intended.
Tracy Linton
Principal and Founder
Tracy Linton is a Licensed Landscape Architect who brings genuine enthusiasm and a deep commitment to every project. She has a passion for designing inspiring and welcoming outdoor spaces that are unique and creative, while also beautiful and functional. Tracy’s thoughtful appreciation for each client guides her approach, ensuring every space is tailored to meet individual needs and goals, and making clients feel truly valued and understood throughout the process.
Through the design process, Tracy prides herself on an attention to detail and collaborative spirit. By fostering a team approach, Tracy ensures all design elements are achievable, budgets are respected, and everyone involved has a clear understanding of the client’s expected outcome. Her guidance supports clients every step of the way, creating a positive and engaging experience.
Tracy holds a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from The Ohio State University. With many years of experience, she has created award-winning designs that transform outdoor spaces into cherished retreats for families and communities to enjoy for a lifetime. Tracy enjoys spending time with her family traveling, spending time outdoors and attending sporting events.

Jared Gavzy
Principal and Founder
Jared Gavzy has spent more than 30 years in the landscape industry, beginning with lawn and property maintenance as a summer job and evolving into a career focused on high-end residential landscape design and construction. His early hands-on experience caring for properties has shaped a practical, informed approach to design and implementation—grounded in the understanding that a successful landscape must not only be visually compelling, but also buildable, maintainable, and adaptable over time. A landscape is never static, and long-term performance is central to every design decision.
Jared holds degrees from SUNY Buffalo in Urban Planning and Spatial Analysis, Horticulture and Landscape Design from the New York Botanical Garden, and Landscape Architecture from City College of New York. His experience working with several of the most respected landscape design-build firms in the New York metropolitan area enables him to bring his clients’ visions to life with a strong emphasis on process, execution, and the aftercare required to sustain each landscape for years to come. An avid outdoorsman, Jared has always envisioned a career guided by his appreciation for the natural environment and a deep commitment to working within it.

Devin Short
Landscape Designer
Devin Short is a landscape designer whose work is rooted in a lifelong connection to the outdoors. Growing up in rural New Hampshire and working on his family’s farm, he developed an early appreciation for natural landscapes, craftsmanship, and the role outdoor spaces play in how people live and gather. This foundation continues to shape his design approach today.
After graduating SUNY Cobleskill with a Bachelor’s in Landscape Contracting, Devin relocated to New Jersey, where he is now based. With more than 12 years of experience in the design-build landscape industry, he brings a comprehensive understanding of both design intent and construction execution. His work focuses on creating refined, thoughtfully composed outdoor environments that feel intentional, balanced, and inviting.
Devin’s designs blend natural materials, clean structure, and careful detailing. Each project is guided by the site, the home’s architecture, and the client’s lifestyle—resulting in timeless outdoor spaces designed to be lived in and enjoyed. Outside of his professional work, Devin spends time in his own garden, continuing to explore plants, materials, and design on a personal scale. He enjoys traveling with his husband, experiences that allow him to explore diverse cultures and how landscapes are shaped around the world. Time spent with his dogs, friends, and family continues to influence his appreciation for meaningful, well-designed spaces that foster connection and bring people together.
